Yeah Dave’s Guide by David Romanelli landed into my hands most unexpectedly, but at precisely the right moment. Normally, I would scoff at the idea of reading a self-help book. “Yeah Dave”, Romanelli himself, changed my opinion of self-help books in a matter of moments. Romanelli provides a modern approach to life, incorporating the sacred aspects of yoga with the bustle of the present day. He presents his own hilarious experiences with farting, dog training, dating, and teaching as instances that can be taken either with regret or embracement. His casual writing style allows the reader to indulge in his philosophies without feeling on edge or guilty for their present way of living. Romanelli’s humor reminds his readers to laugh and move forward, even after farting in front of an entire yoga class. He’s all about living in the present through delicious, funny, and beautiful moments. Even the smallest piece of chocolate can provide an overwhelming joy in our every day lives. “Yeah Dave” is the newest groove to the yoga craze our society has been experiencing. A quick, easy, and enjoyable read, Yeah Dave’s Guide is my most highly recommended book for the past year. Sit back, relax, remember, and partake in the present moment as you read Romanelli’s journeys and discoveries.
